Alleged police shooter Murray Toleafoa will defend a charge of attempting to murder a police officer.
Toleafoa appeared briefly in Auckland District Court this afternoon on the charge stemming from an incident in Auckland's CBD early on Friday last week in which a police officer was shot at during a routine traffic stop.
His lawyer Ron Mansfield told the court Toleafoa would defend the charge.
The matter was adjourned until July 4.
