An investigation is under way after a man's body was found on a boat moored in a Nelson marina today.
Tasman police say the death is being treated as suspicious.
The body was found on a vessel opposite a skate park at 10.45am, and officers are expected to be at the scene for the next few days.
"Police already have some positive leads from the public but would still like to hear from anyone who may have information that could help the investigation," Detective Inspector Paul Borrell said.
"State Highway 6, or QEII Drive, is the main route in and out of Nelson and popular with commuters.
"Lots of people would have driven past the scene and we'd like to hear from anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area overnight or this morning," she said.
