A woman was hit by a car and died on Waihi Rd, Normanby in South Taranaki last night.
Police said the crash that killed the 57-year-old woman happened at 11:51pm yesterday.
She was a pedestrian on Waihi Rd, State Highway 3, at the Normanby township, around 5.5km north of Hawera.
Police said they were investigating, and asked any witnesses to call the Hawera police station on 06 278 0260.
