Police officers red-faced as car overturns

Two Counties Manukau police officers were red-faced on Thursday after their patrol car overturned on the way to an emergency callout.

The car was thought to have clipped gravel on the side of the road before flipping and landing on its side near Beachlands, police said.

One officer was treated for a minor neck injury and the other was unhurt.
