Christchurch police are searching for a woman hitchhiker who has been missing since yesterday.
Detective Phil McDonnell said it was believed the woman was seen at the Blenheim and Annex Roads intersection in Christchurch about 4pm.
She may also have been in the Springston area later in the day and was believed to have been heading to Akaroa.
She was described as a Caucasian, about 25-years-old and with shoulder length brown hair.
The woman was wearing jeans and a beanie and was carrying an orange and blue backpack, Mr McDonnell said.
Anyone who may have picked her up or had seen the hitchhiker her was asked to c all Mr McDonnell at Christchurch police.
