Police say the name of a woman who died when her car slammed into a tree in Northland yesterday will not be released until relatives overseas are told.
The 22-year-old woman died after her car left the road and hit a tree in Broadwood, south of Kaitaia yesterday morning.
Police said efforts were being made to contact her relatives overseas and until that had been done her name would not be made public.
