Quake jolts Bay of Plenty

An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale rattled parts of Bay of Plenty this morning.

The quake, at 9.06am, was centred 10km southwest of White Island at a depth of 5km.

It was felt throughout Bay of Plenty, GNS Science said.
