Residents in New Windsor, Auckland are being advised to protect themselves from hydrochloric acid fumes after a hazardous spill on Hendon Ave.
Police are advising all residents to stay indoors, close their windows and turn off their air conditioning systems until further notice.
The fumes are drifting south-west towards Metheun Road, Batkin Road, Bollard Ave and New Windsor Road.
The Fire Service and police are at the scene.
