Two people are reportedly in a critical condition after a serious crash on the Timaru-Temuka highway this afternoon.
Police said two vehicles were involved in the collision about 4.55pm south of Temuka.
Emergency services were at the scene, and diversions were in place at State Highway 8 and Arowhenua Rd, via Levels Plain Rd.
The Serious Crash Unit had been advised.
