MetService has issued snow warnings for New Zealand's South Island. 

Road users are urged to use caution as snow showers are predicted for Sunday, April 30. 

MetService reported Porters Pass may be worst hit by snow showers on Sunday afternoon, with 2-4cm predicted to land above 700 metres.

Lewis Pass and Lindis Pass may recieve 1-2cm of snow from Sunday morning until Sunday night on higher parts of road, especially above 800 metres.

Snow showers are also predicted on higher Authurs Pass and Milford Rd, although little snow is expected to accumulate.
