A stolen car has crashed while being pursued by police in Hamilton with a woman and child in the back seat, police said.
The vehicle was reported to police by a member of the public at 12.50pm. Police found the car about 40 minutes later, a police statement said.
A pursuit lasted about five minutes around the Pukete area before the vehicle crashed on Mangaharakeke Drive.
The male driver has been arrested, and an ambulance was called to check the woman and child passengers, who were not seriously injured.
Police are still investigating.
