Many Auckland bus services have been temporarily halted while about 1000 bus workers consider a new pay offer.
The workers were holding a stopwork meeting this morning to consider a last minute offer from NZ Bus on Tuesday which revoked a planned lock-out scheduled for the next day.
Both sides have refused to comment on the nature of the offer. The meeting was starting at 10.30am.
The stopwork meeting means bus services on the affected lines -- Metrolink, North Star, Go West, Waka Pacific, Link and City Circuit bus services -- will not operate for two hours.
The lock-out would have affected 900 drivers who were members of the National Distribution Union, Akarana, Tramways Union and the Engineering, Printing and Manufacturing Union.
