Teen arrested after New Lynn carjacking

A 14-year-old boy is in police custody after he allegedly assaulted a woman and stole her car outside a shopping centre in West Auckland.

Police this evening said the 62-year-old woman was recovering in Auckland City Hospital following the incident this afternoon.

She is in a stable condition.
