A teenager is seriously injured following a crash involving a car and a skateboard in west Auckland overnight.
The teen, believed to be 16, was rushed to Auckland City Hospital in a critical condition after the incident on Laingfield Tce, in the Laingholm area of Waitakere around 1am, Ptrece Gosney-Payne of the ambulance northern communications centre, said.
It is believed the car had been towing the teen on a skateboard at the time of the incident.
Inspector Chris Tate, of the police northern communications centre, confirmed police attended an injury crash in which a skateboard was involved.
