Three people have been injured, two seriously, in a two-car collision on State Highway One north of Wellsford in Northland.
Emergency Services are at the scene on the south side of the Brynderwyn Hill, and SH1 is closed in both directions.
All traffic is being diverted along the Coastal route via Managawhai and Waipu.
The Northland Serious Crash unit will investigate the crash, police said.
