Police have found the body of a tramper who went missing while on a solo trip in the Nelson Lakes National Park.
A search and rescue operation was launched yesterday after the man failed to return on Friday, as planned.
Police this morning said his body was located about 9.30am in the Mt Robert Range area. It was due to be airlifted out shortly.
The man's next of kin were being notified.
