A man is dead after his truck went off a bridge and rolled in rural Canterbury yesterday.
The man was travelling along Maronan Rd at Lismore, southwest of Ashburton, when the accident happened at 5.45pm.
Stuff reports the truck went off the bridge on to a dry riverbed, understood to be the Hinds river.
The driver died at the scene.
