Two hurt in Harbour Bridge crash

Two people have been injured, one seriously, in a nose-to-tail crash on Auckland's Harbour Bridge.

Fire Service spokesman Scott Osmond said one crew attended the incident in the south-bound lane about 11.50am today.

He said there were reports of smoke coming from the car, but it was just the airbag.

St John ambulance spokeswoman Victoria Hawkins said the other person was moderately injured in the four-car pile-up.

The New Zealand Transport Agency said the incident blocked one lane, resulting in delays for motorists.

It tweeted that the crash had been cleared at 12.20pm.
