Two people have been injured in a boat collision near Waiheke Island.
A launch and a runabout collided in Sergeants Channel about 1pm today.
The impact sank the runabout, and a 52-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman received moderate injuries, police said.
They were taken to Auckland Hospital, and are in a stable condition.
Police and Maritime NZ are investigating.
