A woman who admitted ripping off the IHC for almost $600,000 has been convicted on 72 charges.
Lynn Fiebig, former fundraising manager for the organisation which provides support for intellectually disabled people and their families, appeared in Wellington District Court today.
Fiebig, 56, admitted 72 charges of using a document for pecuniary advantage.
The court was told that between October 2006 and May 2009, she created 74 invoices from three bogus companies, making $590,029.80 from her fraudulent activities.
Judge Paul Barber entered convictions on all charges and remanded Fiebig on bail to the five-star Ahuru lodge she and her partner, Richard Chittock, run in Ohakune.
She will be sentenced on March 26.
IHC chief executive Ralph Jones said that although the amount concerned was small compared with the annual turnover, it was still significant at a time when the organisation was cash-strapped.
The organisation would be seeking full reparation through the court.
