A woman has been charged with murder after a man was stabbed in the chest at a block of flats in Wellington last night.
The 29-year-old woman would appear in Lower Hutt District Court tomorrow over the death of 30-year-old Sean Verma.
"The investigation team is continuing to piece the events of last night together and we would urge any witnesses to speak with police," Detective Senior Sergeant Dave Thornton said.
"At this stage, we are not seeking anyone else in relation to his death," he said.
Emergency services were called to a Petone flat about 10.30pm yesterday where they found Mr Verma with a stab wound to his chest.
Ambulance staff and police tried to resuscitate him but he died at the scene.
