Police have released the name of the woman who was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Burnham Military Camp in Canterbury overnight.
She was Jaimey Leigh Fellows (32), of Christchurch.
Another person was badly injured when their car came off the road just after midnight on State Highway One, just south of the camp.
A police spokeswoman said one person died at the scene and another was taken to Christchurch Hospital with serious injuries.
The Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
