Dunedin South Labour candidate Clare Curran is using a novel approach to get her message across to voters - she is appearing in a music video on YouTube.
The music video shows Ms Curran walking through South Dunedin and St Clair while a song by Dunedin musician Shakes (Chris Prendergast) called Hope You Don't Change Your Mind plays.
The video also shows footage of Prime Minister Helen Clark's visit to the city.
Ms Curran said she was looking for a different way to get her message across and did not believe any other candidate in the country had a music video.
She and her sister, Judith Curran, came up with the idea together, she said.
