Mr Peters was at the station's Auckland studios filling in for Leighton Smith on the morning talk show.
After a listener sent Mr Peters an email saying he was a lost cause and would soon be out of politics, the minister said there were a lot of morons in New Zealand and they could vote for any party they liked, but he did not want them to vote for New Zealand First.
Mr Peters spent most of the show talking politics with callers and pushing his New Zealand First party and policies.
He was one of four politicians to take over the microphone during the week.
He followed National's Tau Henare on Tuesday and ACT Party leader Rodney Hide yesterday. Tomorrow its the turn of building and construction minister Shane Jones to host the show.
