Blood spots

By Oscar Tobeck - Year 10, Kaikorai Valley College

There's blood forming on my cheek
It's dripping down my skin
It tastes slightly metallic
There's no way I can win.

It's heavy and disgusting
My body's being drained
The only thing keeping me sane
Is the ticking of my brain.

My blood, it keeps on dripping
Down my cheek, across my chest
It bubbles when I try to breathe
But I just need to rest.

I'm broken down, it's difficult
To try and feel my pain
So I'm blunt and cold, I'm not that bold
I'm breaking up my frame.

You can see every bone in my body
Fragile and easy to break
They said death would be quick and easy
But damn the pain's like snakes.

It coils around my chest
Biting at my chin
I'm bleeding and I'm breaking
As teeth cut through my skin.

I need someone to save me
To take away my pain
But I'm locked up in my room
And no-one can break in.

I'm lying down, I'm laughing
Wherever you were, you cried
I'm sorry I put you through this
But I promise you, I tried.
