Otago sides in ice hockey final

It will be an all-Otago final at the South Island secondary schools ice hockey final today.

At the Dunedin Ice Stadium, the combined Dunstan-Mt Aspiring College side will take on Wakatipu High at 11am.

In the final day of the girls football tournament at Logan Park, two Christchurch schools, Papanui and Middleton Grange, will clash in the final.

At the under-15 rugby tournament played at Peter Johnstone Park yesterday, the division one final was won by Rangiora High School, which had a comfortable victory over Lincoln in the final.

Taieri drew the division three final with Westland, and Waimea College won the second division final.

In the South Island invitational under-15 tournament based at King's High School, the final today will be between Nelson College and Waitaki Boys'. King's will play Christ's College for third and fourth.

Further afield, St Hilda's Collegiate has made it to the semifinals of the A grade at the South Island Secondary School netball tournament in Nelson. It was joined by Southland Girls', St Andrew's and Marlborough Girls in the final four.

At the national under-15 rugby tournament in Auckland, Otago Boys' High School has reached the semifinals and will play Auckland Grammar today.

It beat Rotorua Boys' 17-15 in the quarterfinal yesterday.

In the Rankin Cup/India Shield hockey tournament in Wellington, King's High School has won its opening playoff game with a 2-0 win over St Kentigern College.
