Climate change campaigners held a 'Carols Against Coal' event in the Octagon on Wednesday.
The protest was deliberately held at 12 noon, on the 12th day of the 12th month.
The group says the number is significant, as some environmentalists believe the world has just 12 years left to reduce global warming.
