Rare birds at Tucker Beach reserves under threat

The Department of Conservation is calling for the public's help to protect the nests of rare birds at two Tucker Beach reserves.
 
They have been degraded by the illegal dumping of rubbish over the years, as well as uncontrolled dogs, backpackers and vehicles driving through the nesting areas.
 
Doc has installed temporary signs in order to change the mindset of visitors.
