Jockeys compete in Chonburi’s annual buffalo race festival, in Chonburi province, Thailand. Buffalo are a revered symbol of Thai agriculture and rural life and those taking part in the race receive special care, including a daily massage. The racetrack, about 80km southeast of Bangkok, is about 100m in length.
