Kanye West has reportedly been told he should divorce wife Kim Kardashian before becoming the next ``casualty''.
The New York Post has been told by a source that friend's in West's social circle do not want to see him end up like other men in the Kardashian family.
``People around him are like, `He needs to get away from those crazy people.' It's just a curse over there. Anything with the Kardashians is tarnished and ... they're opportunistic people who completely take advantage of him. Even [Kanye's] like, `I'm not going to be the next casualty','' the source told the newspaper.
The comments are a reference to the ``Kardashian Curse'', a term given to the fact numerous men involved with the reality family, including Scott Disick and Kris Humphries, have had careers or reputations destroyed after falling out from the Kardashians.
Yesterday, there were reports that Kim was looking for a divorce, but a new source says that there is no trouble in paradise for ``Kimye''.
``The divorce stuff is totally untrue. If anything - with everything that's been going on between the robbery and this episode with him - it's brought them closer. Kim has been right by his side and they've gotten closer than ever through it. They were even out on a date last night.
''[The divorce rumour] is completely bogus and lame because it makes her look like she's abandoning him in his time of need. It's totally wrong. His friends want to be supportive of them and of her.''
West was forcibly hospitalised on November 21 following a psychotic breakdown and several public outbursts. He was discharged nine days later. It was the latest incident to plague the family this year, after Kim was robbed at gunpoint in a Parisian hotel back in October.
The couple have two children together, North (3) and Saint (1).
