Actress Cornelia Frances, who starred in Australian shows such as The Young Doctors and Home and Away, has died after a battle with cancer.

The actress Cornelia Frances, who portrayed some of Australian television's most iconic characters, has died after a battle with cancer, aged 77.

Her death was announced on Seven on Tuesday,

She is best known for playing Morag Bellingham on Home and Away, Sister Scott on The Young Doctors and hosting The Weakest Link.
