German Chancellor Angela Merkel, seen shaking after meeting visiting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, says she is feeling better after drinking water.
Merkel (64) looked as if she were struggling to stand up while she and Zelenskiy listened to national anthems during military honours upon his arrival on Tuesday.
"Since then I have drunk at least three glasses of water - I obviously needed that and so I'm doing very well now," Merkel said during a joint news conference with Zelenskiy in Berlin.
Zelensky, a comedian-turned-president, said that he would have come to the rescue if needed, the BBC reports.
"She was standing next to me and completely safe," he said.
Merkel has previously announced she would step down when her current (fourth) ends in 2021.
