A mother has been robbed and assaulted by a man while visiting her son's grave at a Sydney cemetery.
The 52-year-old was at Riverstone Cemetery on Tuesday afternoon when a man confronted her and stole her handbag from her car, NSW Police said.
She fought back but was pushed to the ground and the man fled in a red hatchback.
The offender is described as in his 30s, about 170cm, with a medium build and was last seen wearing a grey hat and khaki pants.
Sydney radio 2GB reported the woman was visiting her son's grave when she was attacked.
