A strong undersea earthquake has struck off the South Pacific island nation of Tonga today.
The US Geological Survey said the 6.1 quake hit 180km south-southwest of Neita in Tonga at a depth of 97km.
No tsunami warning had been issued and there were no immediate reports of damage or casualties from the tremor.
