Time magazine says its Person of the Year cover featuring US President-elect Donald Trump with devil horns is "entirely coincidental".
The cover, which features the president-elect photographed at his Trump Tower penthouse, caused a stir online after social media users quickly noted the "M" in the magazine's name was directly placed behind his head.
Time soon responded by posting a gallery of past covers on their website titled ''35 Time magazine covers that appeared to give people horns''.
"Given the shape of the letter "m" in the magazine's name and its location on the cover, many other subjects in the past have also appeared to sprout extra features," the website said.
"It's happened to Hillary Clinton at least twice. It's happened to Bill Clinton, and George W Bush, too."
The magazine insisted that any resemblance to "cats, bats or devil horns" were "entirely coincidental".
