Santa drew the crowds at the annual Te Anau Santa Parade and Fun in the Park on Saturday 10 December, as hundreds watched in anticipation of a view of the big man in red.
He was the last of the parade, riding in a vintage car from Fiordland Vintage Machinery Club.
People were able to interact with him along the route as well at Lions Park, where all the action was based, including entertainment and games.
Rides for children included water zorbs, go-karts and a slide which were all at discounted prices, thanks to funding from Te Anau, Fiordland businesses.
Organiser Leona McCracken said “The fine weather saw 13 floats and vintage tractors on show during the parade”.
Waimatuku Southern Scenic Highland Pipe Band led the parade with drum major Russell Baker.
Groups from the area also provided entertainment on stage, she said
The winning float was The Key Playcentre, second Te Anau Library and third Southern Stars.
