Members of Vintage Car Clubs from North Cape to Bluff will come together for the annual Daffodil Rally for Cancer.
The event, to be held in August, is into its second year and encourages branches of the Vintage Car Club of New Zealand (VCC) to organise events with the aim of raising money for the Cancer Society of New Zealand.
VCC President Diane Quarrie says “The inaugural event in 2017 was well supported by our members and it appears that this year will be even bigger.”
“A number of our branches have organised a rally that will provide an interesting afternoons drive, while others are putting on a car show which will allow the public a close up look at the cars.”
Diane Quarrie says “This is a very important event for the VCC of New Zealand. Not only does it financially benefit an extremely worthy cause, but also raises the profile of our branches around the country. We are also encouraging members of the public to join in the days fun and activities.”
In 2017 the event raised $40,000 for the Cancer Society - countrywide
