The Linwood Cup attracted hundreds of school footballers this week at Logan Park.
Blessed with perfect weather for the final on Thursday, a large crowd watched Kavanagh College beat the Christchurch team Papanui in a thrilling match.
Papanui scored first, then Kavanagh equalised almost immediately... and went on to dominate most of the game.
Final score 4-2.
