Hidden unemployed, ignored by governments

Writing in response to Mark, who was made redundant from his job. Same thing happened to us.

Paid taxes from the age of 16 years of age here in NZ, so have contributed to NZ for over 40 years.

Nothing has been setup to retrain people of 50 + in NZ, and keep them in the work force.

Singapore retrain their workers, other countries seem to be kinder than NZ to its own people ??

It is a very stressful situation, when you struggle to find money. You live in limbo, no holidays, house and car repair, very rarely and dental appointment, will you can forget that to and you don't tell your family, because you can't believe how you have to live now.

Wife earns a very basic pay, we seem to have to pay for everyone else's education, dental, health care, housing.

Where is the fairness and justice ? Not for us !!
