An elderly friend in NZ, locked down in a retirement village, and locked down in her room with a cold, wrote this.
Her name is Marilyn Dunn (92) and she has given permission for me to share this.
Lockdown
When in your room you're locked each day
A friendly face may come to say
"Cheer up do, you'll soon be well,
And if you're not - then what the hell!"
The staff are kind, the food it good.
And mostly we are understood.
So smile and join the waiting crowd.
They'll come and visit when allowed.
