Te Anau’s Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer Awareness and Fundraising Breakfast was held on May 27, raising $4500.

90 people attended the Breakfast in the dining area of Te Anau Club, with proceeds from the breakfast being sponsored back to the fundraiser.

Leona McCracken of Te Anau, who has assisted the Lombardi’s at La Dolce Vita for the past two years, took on the organising of the event in 2018.

Te Anau Pharmacist, George Batchelor was the MC, Jackie Knowles helped with the setup and a cake was made by cake decorator, Karen Priestley of Te Anau.

Guest speaker was Sam McBride, a Wellness Coach.

Support from Mr Green Te Anau – The Key Playcentre – Te Anau Kepler Lions Club – Lakeside Church – Southern Stars Early Learning Centre – Fiordland Rotary Club – Real Journeys. Raffles and spot prizes were on offer on the day.

Te Anau has hosted the event for the past 10 years, first being organised by Carmel McDowell and hosted by the Te Anau Club.
