Racing all go for Kurow

It is all go for the Kurow Jockey Club’s annual race meeting on December 30.

The event is a popular drawcard for holidaymakers in the Waitaki Valley and this year’s meeting would be "just a race day as normal", club president Simon Williamson said.

It would be run under the Government’s Covid-19 rules and My Vaccine Passes would be required, Mr Williamson said.

A new running rail had arrived from Australia.

It would be installed at the Kurow course this week and Mr Williamson said planning was on track for the event.

"It’s a good old catch up ... it’s an important part of the Waitaki Valley’s social year," he said.
