Boaties with flat battery rescued on Clutha

The Coastguard has rescued two people after their boat got a flat battery and started drifting on the Clutha River.

Police say the boat was reported adrift from the Alexandra Boat Ramp and moving downstream towards Roxburgh about 11.55am today.

It was located on the river at 12.56pm and towed back to the ramp.

The people rescued were both wearing life-jackets.
