Searchers looking for a missing Clyde man have today recovered a body from the Blue Lake at St Bathans.
The body is believed to be that of 32-year-old Mark George Naylor, police said.
Mr Naylor has been missing since Saturday night.
Members of the National Police Dive Squad flew down from Wellington to help with the search after Mr Naylor's vehicle was found by the lake yesterday.
Family members were assisting with the search this morning.
"It is a sad time, particularly for the family, but also for all those involved in the search for Mark" Senior Sergeant Ian Kerrisk said.
"While not the desired outcome we are pleased to have found him and to provide some closure for the family".
The matter will be referred to the Coroner.
