A man has been taken to a medical centre after a car crashed into a wall at the Kawarau Gorge in Central Otago this morning.
A police media spokesman said police received a report about the crash on the Gibbston Highway (SH6) at 6.57am.
The report said the car rolled, trapping the driver of the vehicle and blocking two lanes, he said.
A man was taken by ambulance to a medical centre, he said.
State Highway 6 was now down to one lane, the Christchurch Transport Operations Centre said.
Motorists can expect delays of a few minutes, according to the AA traffic and alert updates.
