Police have named the motorcycdlist killed in a crash near Bannockburn last night.
He was Paul Kidd (46), of Karamea.
The 6.15pm crash in Cairnmuir Road was attended by St John Ambulance, the Fire Service and police.
Mr Kidd was flown to Dunedin Hospital by helicopter last night but died en route, police said.
The driver of the car, who was the sole occupant in the vehicle, was uninjured in the crash.
