Rest-home games right royal enjoyment

Tiaras, crowns, top hats and bow ties were the order of the day when the combined rest-home games for Central Otago returned to Alexandra yesterday.

The annual event was attended by residents, caregivers and volunteers from six rest-homes.

This year’s event, which featured a royal theme in celebration of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding, was topped off with a silver service afternoon tea.

Among those who took part were rest-home residents, staff and volunteers (from left) Hannah Neal, Doug Brown, Allan Lemm, Una de la Mare, Denise Phillips, Judy Stewart, Sinead Long and Lois Hall.
