It will be revealed this weekend whether the Lawrence Tuapeka community really does have talent.
The ''Stars in Your Eyes'' event being held at Simpson Park tomorrow
has been organised by the Lawrence Lions Club and locals Sharon and Bill Bazley, with all proceeds going to the Rescue Helicopter Trust.
Organisations and groups buy a table for 10 and are expected to provide at least one performer from each table.
The Crescent band from Kaitangata will entertain during the evening. An auction of donated products will also be held. Lawrence Lions Club members have been very busy over recent months.
In February, the club organised a motocross event near Beaumont that attracted 780 riders and it has been holding an annual golf tournament.
It is also in the process of organising a winter crop competition for farmers.
