Police are seeking information after two incidents in Lawrence over the past two weeks.
Senior Constable Robert Wallace, of Lawrence, said between 60 and 70 litres of diesel was stolen from a tractor in Gabriels Gully Rd last Saturday night.
About $2000 worth of damage was caused to the tractor in order to steal the fuel.
Between October 6 and October 8 a skylight in one of the classroom blocks at Lawrence Area School was also damaged.
Anyone with information about the two incidents is asked to contact the Balclutha police, phone 418-0203.
• Balclutha police are warning motorists to be careful when parking in restricted areas. Sergeant Craig Dinnissen said police were checking for vehicles parked in bus bays outside Balclutha schools during restricted hours.
Drivers of 15 vehicles were ticketed over a three-day period, and police would continue to keep an eye on bus bays in the town.
Police are seeking information after the Owaka Bowling Club was broken into earlier this week. Senior Constable Murray Hewitson, of Owaka, said a meter man from an electricity company found the door to the Cargill St clubrooms open on Tuesday morning. A box of beer had been taken.
Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area between Sunday and Tuesday morning is asked to contact the Owaka police.
