A man is in a coma in Dunedin Hospital following a serious car crash in west Otago at the weekend.
Emergency services were called to Roxburgh St, Heriot, after a car crashed into a building on Saturday night.
The driver of the Subaru wagon was airlifted to hospital with serious head injuries, Senior Sergeant Brian Benn, of Dunedin, said.
The 27-year-old remained in a coma last night.
The female passenger received moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Gore.
